If you want to be successful, it's just this simple. Know what you are doing. Love what you are doing. And believe in what you are doing  :)

Adversity as Opportunity

Adversity happens to all of us. I have learned that you cannot control a lot of things that happen in your life and you cannot control the feelings that come over you. However, you can control what you do with those feelings. Only you control how you let the events in your life affect you, your future and the future of your family.
It is interesting to me that two people can have similar adversity in their lives and yet each will come out of it differently. One may fall apart mentally and emotionally because of the difficult events they experience. The other will use the same difficult events as a learning experience and come out better for it.
We can either allow our circumstances to make us miserable or we can choose to use it to make us strong. Only we can decide which it will be. Other people and other things cannot make this decision for us.
Instead of feeling sorry for yourself, choose to focus on the good things in your life. They are always there. Sometimes you just need to look a little harder. And on the flip side, there are always people that are so much worse off than you are. Truly be thankful for the positive things in your life.
We, especially those living in the US, have the chance to pursue our dreams and make our lives what we want them to be - only the sky is the limit.
Close your eyes and think of it this way. If your life could be anything you wanted it to be, realistically, what would that look like? How is it different than the life you have now? What do you need to do differently to make the life you want it to be? Then put a plan in place to make it happen. Remember, it is progress that matters, not perfection. It is OK to cut yourself a little slack.
Sometimes lessons in life come the hard way. If we pay attention and make the changes that are necessary, adversity can put us in a better place.

Life at any time can become difficult: life at any time can become easy. It all depends upon how one adjusts oneself to life.  :)

Opportunity

Had a Garage Sale yesterday with my sister and it was so interesting to see all the different kinds of people and ways each group had. It was a good reminder of how diverse the world is and how many different opportunities there are.

There were two girls who came and shopped and bought a couple of things but they mostly chatted with us and it turned out to be a parent of one of my nephew's friends. We ended up chatting for almost an hour, in between helping other customers and had a great time and made new friends.

Later, there was this couple who drove up toward the end of our sale and they were characters for sure. They drove up in this silver truck like an F150, the woman pops out of the car like toast from a toaster and doesn't miss a beat! For the next 15 minutes she looks around, grabbing things and talking about our sale signs, our merchandise and what she likes and wants to get. Then she starts telling us about other things she purchased from other garage and yard sales and wonders if we want to trade our things for things she has. It was a whirlwind of energy and fun as she whipped out item after item until both of us did indeed trade something with her! We were all happy with what we got and I said to my sister "we had a garage sale AND got to shop without even going anywhere..how awesome!" hahaha....

Whether making new friendships or manifesting things you love, every day and experience brings opportunities and gifts, so just remember to be open.  :0)

Gratitude breeds more good coming your way :)

Before you go to bed at night think of 3 things you are grateful for... not the obvious, something deeper, perhaps some things or people you may be overlooking.

When you're out and about doing your day notice things that you're grateful for and/or happy about.

I recognize simple things we usually take for granted like my car... I'm so grateful to have such a thing that can take me almost anywhere I want or need to go. I'm grateful for the air I breathe and the plants and trees that make it possible. I'm grateful for the food and groceries I'm able to buy and enjoy with my family and people I love.

The more you train your mind to look for what's right rather than what's wrong, the more gratitude you'll feel. The more gratitude you feel, the more good will come your way :)

Synchronicity.. getting in touch with God

Synchronicity is a means of getting in touch with God. It's a path to meaning and purpose in your life. It's a means of having the experience of love and compassion. It's a means of connecting to the non-logical intelligence of the Universe.

If your attention is on a situation that generates stress, then it is difficult to access sychronicity. To do so effectively you have to have an attitude of surrender to the universal domain, which is much grander than anything you can imagine.

Surrender requires a leap of faith, a jump into the unknown. Your inner dialogue can support this by saying "Things are not going my way. I'm letting go of my idea of how they should. My sense of 'me and mine' has to expand."

If you take this leap of faith, you will be richly rewarded. If you find yourself worrying about next months bills, it would be appropriate to remind yourself that it is your intent not only to fulfill your needs but also to send your children to school, and to contribute to your community.

All people want to fulfill these needs in their lives. However, having articulated and expressed your intent to fulfill them takes them to the infinite mind, and in effect says, "I put all this at your disposal. I'm not going to worry about it because you, the non-local intelligence that resides within me, will take care of it."
